Kaiser Permanente
The complex consists of 5 separate
structures with a total of approximately 300,000 square feet. Honolulu,
Hawaii.
Projects include:
ER renovation – Renovation of
emergency room in phases to keep the facility completely operational.
OR expansion - Addition of new
operating rooms to existing facility.
PBX relocation - Relocation of
existing telephone equipment room to accommodate a phased switchover to
an entirely new phone system. This room contained air conditioning,
backup air conditioning, fire suppression and infrastructure to
accommodate the extensive cabling required for the connection to the
facility.
Fire alarm system replacement –
Phased replacement of the entire fire alarm system consisting of over
2000 devices and 22 sub panels.
MRI – Addition of new magnetic
resonance imaging unit to the existing facility including a new raised
floor computer room and uninterruptible power supply.
Public address system replacement –
Phased replacement of the entire public address system to a new computer
driven, supervised system.
Volunteer services relocation –
Relocation of an existing department within the complex.
Sterilizer replacement –
Replacement of existing sterilizers in place.
Parking structure lighting –
Enhancement of existing parking structure lighting with new fluorescent
lights.
Computer room expansion –
Enlargement of the existing computer room to four times the floor area
with new AC and uninterruptible power supply and fire suppression
system.
